Frigidaire French door refrigerator

This is a nice refrigerator & it replaced a leaky 12 year old Samsung model that was almost identical. There is one thing that I do not like though. The water dispenser in the door DOES NOT dispense COLD water. Every refrigerator door dispenser I've ever used gives you cold water! When I reviewed the troubleshooting guide in the manual to see if we needed to adjust a setting, it advised you to add ice if you want cold water. Honest! Frigidaire goofed by not creating this model to give customers cold water!

The space gained in this style of refrigerator is massive! Organization is easy and we don™€™t have to take out multiple items anymore to get to what we want. Dual ice makers are also a plus when you entertain. Overall everyone is happy with it. The original Frigidaire gallery refrigerator is still running great after years, we kept it and hooked up in basement.

My search for a major appliance

Let me start by saying buying a major appliance is not any easy task. After many hours and days of researching and looking at so many refrigerators and talking with different sales people I saw a Frigidaire with french doors. The outside looking very handsome, Iopened the doors and noticed how spacious and bright looking. Not full of dull plastic. The chrome on the interior really dressed it up. The spacious shelves were a real eye catcher. There are two ice makers. Another great feature. As I continued looking at other refrigerators I just kept going back to the Frigidaire. Yet another great feature was how large the crisp drawers are with each drawer having it's own filter. The filter changing is handy and easy. I especially liked the Temp. drawer with it's own features. Having said all that Yes I bought the Frigidaire. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this refrigerator to anyone in need of this appliance.

Just replaced a 20 yr old GE profile with this model. And of course, What do you get for your $3k? well, you get a fridge that won't make ice in the freezer section. So, after less than 24 hours of ownership. We have had to make a warranty claim. This does not bode well for our future with this expensive appliance. But it's pretty.

Functional but disappointing

Fridge doors take maximum adjustment to be aligned but then doors are not level with bottom drawer. Retailer sent me a new fridge because the original one started making noise but both have had the same alignment issue. Also annoying that you can™€™t open RH produce drawer without having both doors open. Frigidaire gas oven takes forever to heat up. Frigidaire dishwasher has a ridiculously long cycle and does not fully dry dishes. Also quite noisy. Both of which they advertise as having ™€œtechnological™€ systems for. Won™€™t buy Frigidaire anything in the future

Love this refrigerator. Looks wonderful in the kitchen and does a great job keeping all our food cool and frozen. The vegetable and fruit bins work great at keeping things crisp and fresh, and access is easy. Inside is spacious with nicely designed shelving and the two split shelves are handy when storing larger items. Deli draw opens and closes smoothly with no snags, unlike other brands we checked out. Filtered water and door ice dispenser works great and the filter is easy to install. The freezer bins are spacious and hold everything well. Large ice maker/bin but don't use it because I get plenty of ice from the door unit. Lighting is excellent with bright LEDs. It makes things easy to find. Very glad we went with the Galleria version of this well appointed refrigerator. Chrome and blue interior highlights give it a nice clean look. Overall, top quality refrigerator at a great price.

So far we love our new refrigerator. First time with french doors so still deciding where I should put things to get the most out of storage. One thing that I wish the manuel would tell you is what is the proper temperatures for fridge and freezer below. Freezer was on 6 and I thought that was good but that was the highest temp! Had no idea and no place gave me the information. Realized by melting ice cream( meat and other products all stayed frozen) that had to adjust. Now on 3 but still don't know what it should be on. Still get it a 10 as far as liking my fridge. Just more information could be provided.

We replaced a GE Profile, of similar size, that gave up the ghost at 7 years old. So far, our new fridge has proved to be an upgrade. We have found the configuration of both the refrigerator and the freezer compartments to be more convenient and intuitive than our old unit. Dual icemakers was not a feature we were looking for but I don't know how we lived without it.

Love the 2 ice makers. Had an LG that this replaced. The finish on the Frigidaire is far superior to the LG. The shelving is much sturdier, love the glass adjustable shelves. It did take a few days for the ice makers to really produce ice in quantities. Overall a great choice for us.

When getting water from the dispenser it initially comes out in a single stream but that quickly turns into multiple streams and after releasing the button the water continues to pour out leaving a mess on the door and floor. There is nothing in the owner's manual about the issue so it is either a problem with the refrigerator or the installer.

Our old Frigidaire went out finally after 22 years. There was no other option other than getting another Frigidaire this one is the same size outside but bigger than the last on the inside. Hoping this one holds up like the last one

Great refrigerator

My five-year-old LG refrigerator stopped working one day with no warning. Five-years-old! I have a 16-year-old grandson who is YOUNGER than the working Kenmore I still have keep as a back-up plan when I bought the LG. Good thing, too! I was just thinking of getting rid of it, when the LG broke. Fortunately, I was able to transfer all my food from the LG to the 16+-year-old Kenmore. I don't know what I would have done without it.The refrigerator repairman came at a cost of $81 to find out what was wrong with my five-year-old LG refrigerator. The estimated cost to repair it far exceeded what it was worth. In fact, the repairman suggested I buy a Frigidaire, as well as Whirlpool, GE, etc. When I told him about my Kenmore, he said, "Don't buy Kenmore now. It was bought out by LG." And so my quest began. I got on the internet, and researched all the refrigerators. Frigidaire had all the features I was looking for. I like the French doors w/the freezer drawer and the water dispenser. I bought the Frigidaire from Best Buy. I couldn't be happier! Frigidaire went beyond my expectations, which rarely happens when purchasing anything anymore. It is on YouTube to tell you its features for quick answers to any questions. Even my daughter is impressed, and she has a critical eye. Now she wants to buy a Frigidaire.Frigidaire sells itself.
